About Us
We are a family of makers. Joyce and her daughter and granddaughter are on the move everyday creating new pieces of jewelry, clothing and paintings. The studio is located in the Boston area.
Itsewjoyce creates jackets from Indian Kantha quilts. Each jacket is completely unique. They come in sizes Small, medium and large but can also be made to order. To order any of the items listed on the website simply contact us by email. Otherwise these creations are available at festivals and farmers markets in the summer and holiday seasons. Notices about upcoming events are listed on the Events Section of this website. The jackets are currently available at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, MA.
Kantha quilts are hand stitched in India. The colorful prints are characteristic of these unusual fabrics. All are 100% cotton and come in several layers making the garments both comfortable and light. The jackets are designed to take advantage of the patterns, colors and border designs. It takes 8 to 10 hours to complete one jacket. Pictured here is a quilt ready to be cut.
